LA Metro introduces new way to pay for parking at Metro Lot locations
Los Angeles, CA – LA Metro today announced the official launch of Metro Parking, its new mobile parking payment solution. Commuters can now conveniently pay for parking using their smartphone device. Metro Parking is powered by Passport, the global leader in mobile payment applications for parking and transit, serving large metropolitan cities such as Chicago, Toronto, Miami, Boston, Portland, and Westminster in London. Passport also powers mobile payments in many of Chicago’s park and ride Metra lots.
The Metro Parking app will offer parkers the ability to easily pay for parking with their TAP Card number, license plate, and payment information. With a user-friendly interface, commuters will be able to take advantage of getting to their destination without having to visit a payment kiosk or meter.

With the Metro Parking app, parkers can:
- Pay for parking
- Monitor their session
- Extend time remotely (24, 48, and 72 hour sessions)
- View payment history
- Receive email receipts
The Metro Parking mobile app is currently available at Park & Ride Lots at North Hollywood North, South, West, Candler, and University City North where Metro Parking signage is displayed. The app will be expanding to more park and ride lots soon.
