Scooters in Charlotte: Exploring New Approaches to Mobility Management

Cities across the country are facing the challenge of how to provide access to low-cost, convenient micro-mobility transportation options for citizens while managing proper distribution and congestion at the curb.

In this video interview, Charlotte City Council Member Tariq Bokhari explains how the city is using data to successfully manage scooter supply and demand. Bokhari notes that by monitoring the ratio of rides per scooter, cities and mobility vendors alike can build an understanding of how to best distribute vehicles and that cities can use revenue generated through new mobility options to continue to enhance infrastructure for better, smarter cities.
