Asbury Park, NJ is a buzzing vacation destination for residents across New York and New Jersey. The City’s historical boardwalk, concert offerings and beaches attract a large number of visitors throughout the year, with over 10,000 tourists visiting during the Fourth of July weekend alone.

In 2018, the City introduced the Asbury PARK white label application to enhance the parking experience for residents, employees and visitors. Since then, app utilization has significantly increased, with the City reporting that sixty-five percent of parking transactions in April 2023 were made through the app. To further improve its parking and mobility services, the City continued its partnership with Passport and incorporated Passport’s Digital Parking Permits and Parking Enforcement Software.

Apart from integrating its parking, enforcement and digital permits operations with Passport, Asbury Park is also benefiting from Passport’s payment solution, which helps lower payment processing costs and provides faster access to funds.

The time saved in manual reporting and the reduction in the number of handoffs saves the department approximately six hours each month, enabling them to focus on other tasks.
