As mobile ticketing gains momentum, Passport is seen as a clear transit leader. The industry’s leader is pushing transit, a “traditionally rigid” form of transportation, towards a flexible mobile option for commuters, residents, and visitors alike. Daniel Bliley, Passport’s Marketing Director, aims to focus on “higher analytics”, which would push the company to use the data to further expand its transit operations, efficiency, and overall growth.
As the industry’s leading mobile payments provider, Passport announced its award by the NCPA (National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance). The NCPA is a national purchasing cooperative with a focus on reducing the cost of goods and services in the U.S. and aims to provide NCPA members with products of the utmost quality at the best prices. The award recognized Passport as the industry’s preferred mobile payments provider.
CIOReview named Passport as one of the top 20 most promising government technology solution providers of 2016! “We take advantage of our comprehensive platform to stay ahead of the competition, assuming the role of the innovation pace car,” said Bob Youakim, Passport CEO. “Built to scale and adapt, we solve client pain points dynamically, building features and configuring controls for specific use cases in the field.”
Passport welcomes the ParkX team and further expands their footprint by bringing their technology solution to 15 new markets! ParkX, a mobile payment provider based in Scottsdale, Arizona, was acquired by Passport and will assume their contracts and assets.
“To see an idea turn into a company that is now joined with Passport, the industry’s clear leader, is one of the best outcomes you could set out to achieve,” said Ross Shanken, Co-Founder and CEO of ParkX. “Their team’s thought leadership and execution capabilities are unparalleled in the industry. We’re looking forward to this next chapter and bringing the latest in transportation technology to the existing ParkX clients.”
CBJ’s #1 Fast 50 Award
The Charlotte Business Journal awarded Passport with the #1 Fast 50 award for 2016! Passport was among 50 private companies with extreme growth. Over the past three-years, the leading mobile payment provider hit a 475.5% revenue growth from 2013-2015! Passport was joined by other industry leaders, like AddShoppers Inc. and Torrent Consulting.
“It was a surreal moment. We are very appreciative to the Charlotte Business Journal for recognizing our company’s hard work and growth over the past three years,” said Khristian Gutierrez, CBDO of Passport. “It’s easy to have blinders on to companies in other industries, and it’s so humbling to see our relative successes in the company of so many other outstanding organizations in this City. With the continued support of the Charlotte community, we look forward to even greater successes and milestones.”
