Where can I use mobile ticketing?
You can use the GoTucson Transit mobile tickets on all vehicles in the Sun Tran system, including Sun Tran, Sun Link, and Sun Shuttle fares.

How do I purchase a mobile ticket?
A mobile ticket can be purchased through the GoTucson Transit app or by going to

  1. To begin, select Buy Now in the bottom left corner or Buy Tickets from the menu
  2. Select Pass Type
  3. Select Fare Type
  4. Select the quantity of tickets you wish to purchase
  5. Select a payment method
  6. Confirm your transaction details

That’s it! You’ve successfully paid for your transit fare.

How do I use my mobile ticket?
Once you’ve successfully purchased and activated your mobile ticket, simply show the Active Ride screen to the operator and he or she will validate that the ticket is active.

When should I activate my mobile ticket?
Mobile tickets should be activated prior to boarding buses, shuttles, and streetcars. Depending on the phone, this may take several seconds. Please ensure you’ve activated your mobile ticket prior to boarding.

What if my mobile device is out of battery?
If there is no display, the pass is Not Valid.

How do I validate if a screen is unreadable?
If there is no display, the pass is Not Valid.

Does a mobile pass expire?
Yes, the pass expires and has a clear date and countdown timer on the active session screen to display when it will expire. Once, the pass expires it then moves into Rider History.

Will my mobile pass still work if my cell phone loses service?
The pass is stored on a virtual cloud that will automatically store all purchased passes. If logged into the application you will have access to the passes. If you are NOT logged into the application then you will not be able to access the passes without cellular service or wifi connection.

Can I transfer to another bus with the app?
Yes, as long as the ticket is displayed as Active.

Can I see where my bus is in real time?
Not in this version of the application but in the later update you will.

What happens if I do not get a verification code?
Please double check your text messages.

What happens if I do not have a credit card?
You will need to register a credit card to pay.

Which credit cards do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

How do I know which pass to buy?
Please look at the transit schedule.

What if I want a refund for buying a ticket by mistake?
You can reach out to customer service by clicking help in the menu tab and selecting ‘call attendant’.

How do I scan a ticket?
Click the ticket and you will see the ticket flip over to a QR code. Please show this to the driver.

How do I find my profile?
Click the lower right hand menu and you will see a list of options. One of these is ‘Profile’.

What devices does the application support?
The application supports iOS and Android devices.

What operating systems does the application support?
iOS – 9.3 and above
Android – 4.4 and above

Are fares transferable?
No, fares are not transferable.
