City of Long Beach expands Passport Parking across the city

The mobile pay parking app can now be used for all on-street parking in Long Beach

Long Beach, Calif. (Aug. 20, 2019) Today, the City of Long Beach announces that Passport Parking can now be used for mobile pay parking at more than 700 on-street parking spaces downtown. The city originally launched mobile payments for parking at off-street beach lots with Passport Parking last December.

Users can download Passport Parking for Android or iOS and start a parking session in the app. Parkers can choose a length of time to park and when the time is up, they will be notified and given an option to extend the session remotely if they need to park longer. Through the app, users can also access receipts and parking history.

“We’re excited that Passport Parking can now be used across Long Beach — from downtown to the beach,” said Conor Buckley, client success executive at Passport. “Now, no matter where people are going in the city, they will have a simple way to pay for parking on their smartphones.”

The Passport Parking app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at passportparking.com.
