Hitting It Out of the Park at IPMI 2025

Every summer, the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI) Conference & Expo brings together professionals from across the parking, mobility, and transportation world – and this year in Louisville, KY was no exception.
As the industry’s largest gathering of its kind, the 2025 conference delivered insights, connections, and a touch of Louisville charm, and the Passport team was right there in the heart of the action.
Swinging for the Fences: A Booth with Local Flair
Passport stepped up to the plate with a Louisville Slugger-inspired booth, combining hometown pride with our focus on helping cities hit their parking compliance goals. From historic baseball bats to branded trading cards, the experience was eye-catching and energizing, earning us the title of “Best in Show” at this year’s event.
The theme also tied directly into our core message: “Compliance: the power hitter in your parking operation.”
Passport empowers cities to step up to the plate with flexible, end-to-end solutions designed to drive compliance, improve operations, and deliver better outcomes across the curb.
Learning Labs, Thought Leadership & Industry Recognition
Passport led two impactful educational sessions this year, each focused on how cities can use scalable technology, policy, and data to create more efficient operations.
In one session, Passport CEO Khristian Gutierrez joined Sean Keane (Village of Oak Park, IL), Nina Black (City & County of Denver, CO), and Hannah Adeponu (City of Omaha, NE) to explore how collaboration across enforcement, user experience, and policy can drive parking compliance.
In another, VP of Partnerships Adam Kriegel and Jason Sutton (Reimagined Parking) tackled the rise of multi-vendor “dump cake” RFPs, offering practical strategies for navigating today’s complex procurement landscape.
Beyond the sessions, we were proud to celebrate team milestones. Adam Kriegel was recognized for receiving his Parking, Transportation & Mobility Professional (PTMP) certification, and Group Product Manager Brittany Yokley was recognized for her work with the Parking Enforcement & Compliance Professional (PECP) micro-credential.
These conversations and recognitions reflect what IPMI does best: bringing the industry together to share, learn, and lead.
Cheers to Compliance: A Night at Patrick O’Shea’s
No conference is complete without a chance to unwind and connect, and this year’s celebration did not disappoint. Passport teamed up with the Open Mobility Foundation (OMF) to cohost a client and industry reception at Patrick O’Shea’s, bringing together a vibrant mix of clients, partners, and mobility leaders for a lively evening in downtown Louisville.
Themed cocktails like the “Old Mobility Fashioned” and the “Passport Summer Slugger” added a fun, personalized touch, while the rooftop setting set the perfect scene for meaningful conversations and new connections.
Bringing so many members of the community together under one roof was a true highlight of the week and a great reminder of the power of collaboration across the industry.
IPMI 2025 was truly a grand slam and we’re already looking forward to what next year brings. Catch the energy and see the highlights in our quick sizzle reel below!
