Kennebunk Launches Mobile Parking App Powered by Passport
Town introduces app for quicker and simpler payment
Kennebunk, ME — Beachgoers won’t need to worry about walking back to feed the meter this summer. The Town of Kennebunk today announced the launch of PassportParking®, a mobile parking application. Passport, the industry leader in mobile payments for parking and transit, has partnered with the town to launch its convenient parking payment app.
The mobile app will be available at approximately 250 parking spaces, including off-street and beach-front parking. Users can purchase daily and weekly passes through the app. A seasonal beach parking pass will also be available to purchase through the PassportParking app, which is available from June 15th through September 15th.
“This type of technology is the perfect fit for our community,” said Lt. Eric O’Brien, Patrol Commander for the Kennebunk Police Department. “Drivers will really enjoy the convenience of this application this beach season. It’s quick to use and much easier to pay for a parking pass. By partnering with Passport, we are able to provide our town with a simple and convenient way to handle the parking experience.”
“We’re very excited to bring our mobile parking solution to Kennebunk,” said April Dickerson, Project Manager at Passport. “We’re proud to provide a solution that brings a more convenient and innovative option to pay for parking to the community.”
The PassportParking app is free to download through the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
