The Village of Palatine has launched a new app to make parking easier at its Metra commuter lots.
The Village of Palatine has introduced Passport, the leading mobile pay parking provider in North America, at its commuter lot locations. Passport’s app makes paying for Metra parking more convenient by allowing users to manage their parking directly from their phones.
With Passport, commuters can pay for daily parking using a debit/credit card, monitor their session, and view all parking history.
Users will enter zone number 86701 into the app at all daily parking locations.
“Passport’s app has made Metra parking in the Chicago area more convenient for users in neighboring cities and villages, so we’re looking forward to introducing it here in Palatine,” said Michael Jacobs, Deputy Village Manager. “The app’s features, including the pre-pay option, will save our customers time and effort so they can park as efficiently as possible.”
Metra commuters can use the app Monday- Friday, 5:00 am- 5:00 pm, when daily payment is required at the commuter lots. Users can even pre-pay for parking starting at midnight. This makes the process of getting onto the Metra even more convenient.
Passport was selected to provide this mobile pay parking solution for Palatine after successful launches in over 45 Chicago suburbs, including Evanston, Oak Lawn, Skokie, and Oak Park. Passport also developed ParkChicago, Chicago’s mobile parking payment application.
The PassportParking app is free to download from the the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
