Passport expands in La Crosse with mobile pay for parking application
PassportParking® mobile app provides city with convenient payment option
La Crosse, WI — Passport, the global leader of mobile payments for parking and transit, is expanding its mobile footprint to the City of La Crosse. The city announced the launch of PassportParking® mobile application on August 25th. The app will simplify the parking process and provide users with the ability to pay for their parking sessions by smartphone. The parking app has been available at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for three years.
In addition to paying for parking, users can extend parking sessions remotely, receive notifications when sessions are low on time, view parking history, and receive updates and alerts.
“The City of La Crosse is excited to introduce Passport’s state-of-the-art parking technology,” said James Flottmeyer, parking utility coordinator for the city. “The app is currently being utilized at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, which increases the number of places where users can use it and makes it convenient to park throughout the city.”
“As La Crosse undergoes a significant revitalization in its downtown area, Passport is proud to bring a mobile parking solution to the community,” said Christa Harris, project manager at Passport. “We are happy to support their growth initiatives and offer an app that makes handling the parking experience as simple as possible.”
The app will available for use at the Market Square Ramp, Main Street Ramp, and La Crosse Center Ramp, and the Pine Street Ramp.
