Pay for Parking With Mobile Pay App

Residents now have an easier way to pay for parking downtown.

Passport, a mobile payment provider, has been added to off-street metered parking spaces.

The service will be available downtown where signs indicate. Instructions will be available for motorists to download and utilize the app, the borough said.

“Passport’s mobile payment option takes the stress out of parking,” Alexandra Wells, Sales Associate at Passport., said, according to the borough. “We’re excited to bring a quick, convenient parking solution to drivers in Phoenixville.”

Residents will still be able to pay for parking with cash or coins, but they will now have the added option of downloading the app and paying with their phone, or swiping their credit card.

The PassportParking app is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Google Play, the borough said.

App-users also have the ability to manager their parking online via this website.

Passport has recently launched in several other Pennsylvania municipalities, including West Chester, Carlisle, and Gettysburg.
