People are now able to pay for parking in the Worth and Bridge street parking lots using an app on their mobile phone.

The app, called Passport Parking, will allow people to pay for parking without having to pay at the meter or pay at a display station, Portsmouth Parking Manager Joey Giordano told SeacoastOnline.

People can download the app to their phones, and punch the zone numbers in for where they want to park. These numbers are located on signs in both the Worth and Bridge street parking lots.

The app will also say how much it costs to park and the maximum amount of time allowed to park in a spot by clicking information on the app.

An alert is sent out once time runs out for the space, but more time can be added remotely.
