Saugeen First Nation in Ontario introduces Passport Parking app to streamline parking management
Mobile parking app powered by Passport now available to pay for and manage parking
Southampton, Ontario (August 20, 2025) — Saugeen First Nation is partnering with Passport, the trusted technology partner for over 800 cities and private operators across North America, to digitize its parking operations. As part of this partnership, the community is launching the Passport Parking app, a user-friendly mobile application that allows drivers to pay for and manage parking sessions seamlessly from their smartphones.
After downloading the free Passport Parking app from the App Store or Google Play, a user enters the respective zone number, license plate number, and the desired length of time for parking. Users can receive notifications when their sessions are about to expire, extend their sessions remotely, and view receipts and parking history. Users can also conveniently manage their parking online at passportparking.com.
“Introducing Passport’s technology in Saugeen First Nation represents a major step toward delivering a modern and efficient parking experience,” says Brad Ritchie, Saugeen First Nation Economic Development Officer. “Beyond making parking easier for drivers, Passport’s platform gives our community leaders the resources to strengthen compliance and foster more efficient mobility.”
Passport unifies the complexities of parking and mobility management into one simple platform, helping communities of all sizes work smarter and more efficiently. With a variety of financial tools, staff can track payment processing and revenue, while real-time data on parking demand and activity helps guide thoughtful policy decisions.
“We are proud to partner with Saugeen First Nation to bring smarter, accessible parking payments to this vibrant beach community,” says Jake Breig, Senior Account Executive at Passport. “By leveraging Passport’s platform, Saugeen First Nation can offer an easier method to pay for parking all while gaining valuable insights to manage curb space more effectively.”
