What's New

PARKING COMPLIANCE

Photo Enforcement Review Workflow

A new review workflow for photo enforcement violations separates review into two steps. Users can now review and recommend potential violations without approval permissions, while final approval is handled through a secondary review queue, helping teams distribute review responsibilities while maintaining oversight.

PERMITS

Clearer Permit Statuses in CMRpay

The Individual Permits dashboard in CMRpay has been updated to separate permit and application statuses into clearer categories. New tabs for Draft, Under Review, Permits, and Archived help permit holders more easily track application progress and locate active or expired permits.

PAYMENTS

Fully Integrated In Person Payments for Enforcement

Payments can now be processed in person on terminals for enforcement use cases. The update supports Sale and Void transactions and represents an initial rollout of expanded point of sale payment capabilities for enforcement operations.

Parking Compliance

Corrected Payment Totals in Drawer Session Report

The Drawer Session Report transaction summary now correctly accounts for reversals when calculating total payments. This update improves financial accuracy within cashiering workflows and ensures reported totals better reflect actual session activity.

Photo Enforcement Review Workflow

A new review workflow for photo enforcement violations separates review into two steps. Users can now review and recommend potential violations without approval permissions, while final approval is handled through a secondary review queue, helping teams distribute review responsibilities while maintaining oversight.

Operator Picker for Enforcement

Users can now switch between parent and child operators within a single login across key Enforcement pages, making it faster to navigate between operators without logging in and out. Permissions at the parent level automatically carry over to all child operators, ensuring consistent access while reducing friction for teams managing multiple locations.

External Payments Visibility in Payment Plan Status Card

Payments made outside of a formal payment plan now appear within Portal, giving users a more complete and accurate view of citation balances. This improves transparency and helps minimize support inquiries.

Enhanced Payment Visibility for Refunds and Reversals

The Payments card on the Citation Details page now displays refunded and reversed transactions instead of removing them, giving teams full visibility into payment history. Users can expand a summary row to view detailed transactions, with refunds and reversals clearly labeled as negative amounts.

Streamlined Operator User Management

User management for OpsMan Mobile is now centralized within Portal, enabling teams to manage enforcement users directly without relying on support. Administrators can assign enforcement roles, instantly grant or revoke access, and control permissions in one place.

Montana DMV Address Lookup

When the Montana DMV returns multiple addresses during a plate lookup, the system now automatically stores the mailing address, ensuring letters and other communications reach the correct location.

OpsMan Mobile Refreshed User Experience Rollout

An updated OpsMan Mobile experience is now available for operators with zone monitoring only workflows. The release modernizes core app frameworks and shared libraries as a platform change rather than a visual refresh, with issuance functionality in active development.

Note: This update is rolling out in phases with guidance from Passport's Client Success team.

Expanded Security Protections in RMCpay

CAPTCHA validation has been added to violation search and appeal workflows to prevent automated scraping and spam, alongside expanded firewall coverage, rate limiting, and improved detection of suspicious activity. These updates strengthen system protections and support a more reliable experience for legitimate users.

Court Data Transmission for Washington Operators

A foundational integration now automates citation data transmission to court systems for Washington operators, with backend improvements to how citation events are processed that improve reliability for future integrations.

CMRpay Application Experience Improvements

The permit tab view has been updated for clients with custom verbiage, and application messaging now uses corrected warning language for required documents, creating a clearer and more consistent experience for applicants.

Portal Permit Issuance Optimization

The permit issuance flow now triggers waitlist warnings earlier in the process. Users are notified immediately if a zone has reached capacity, preventing unnecessary data entry for permits that are no longer available.

BCC Support for Failed Permit and Reservation Payment Notifications

Operators can now configure a list of email addresses to be BCC'd when a permit or reservation payment failure occurs, allowing internal teams to receive the same notification sent to the end user and enabling faster follow up.

Allow and Deny List Automation for Permits

Enhancements to the Allow and Deny list integration now support automated vehicle transitions. When enabled for a specific permit type, vehicles are automatically moved between lists based on real time lifecycle status, helping maintain accurate records and supporting more reliable enforcement.

Improved Manage Permit Search Results

An issue that previously caused duplicate permit records to appear in Manage Permit search results has been resolved. Search results now display a clean list of unique records, making it easier to locate the correct permit.

Commercial Permit Start Date Alignment

Commercial permit start dates can now automatically align with the start date of issued configurations, ensuring permit validity periods remain synchronized with configuration settings and reducing the need for manual adjustments.

Permit NMI (Needs More Information) Workflow

Administrators can request additional documentation directly within CMRpay, giving applicants a clear, guided way to respond and keep their application moving. This reduces back and forth, prevents restarts, and helps staff review updates more efficiently.

Address-Level Permit Visibility in Approval Queue

Permit reviewers can now see how many active permits exist at a given address directly within the approval queue, making it easier to review applications without navigating away and reducing manual cross checking during the approval process.

Physical Permit ID and Email Filters in Manage Permits

New filters for Physical Permit ID and email improve operator efficiency when searching large permit databases, making it faster to locate the right records.

Duplicate Permit Configurations

A new duplication option in the permit setup module replicates existing configurations when creating new permit types, cycles, and permissions, reducing setup time and configuration errors.

Payments

Fully Integrated In Person Payments for Enforcement

Payments can now be processed in person on terminals for enforcement use cases. The update supports Sale and Void transactions and represents an initial rollout of expanded point of sale payment capabilities for enforcement operations.

Transaction Hub Enhancements

Expanded Transaction Hub to provide chargeback history visibility and support for searching custom product numbers to allow for better transaction research.

ACH Payment Support

Passport now supports ACH payments. Alongside this expansion, updates to Payment Transaction and Dispute reports add new fields, including routing number, payment nickname, and payment type, giving teams better visibility into ACH transactions and chargeback data.

Payments Zone Group Summary Report

A new Payments report summarizes settled parking revenue by Grouped Zone, helping teams more easily reconcile settlement deposits with the zone groupings they manage in Passport. This provides visibility into net remitted amounts alongside gross revenue, fees, refunds, and chargebacks.

Paid Parking

Find Parking Map in Passport Parking

The Passport Parking app now features the Find Parking map, helping drivers quickly locate nearby parking options and making it easier to find and start a session.

Enhanced Protections Against Fraudulent Payment Activity

Additional safeguards have been introduced to help slow fraudulent card testing. These updates expand the ability to block specific email accounts and include improvements that prevent bad actors from attempting to force PIN numbers.

Expanded Session Details in Transaction Details

When viewing a specific parking session in the Transaction Details page, a detailed table now provides a full breakdown of fees and extensions. Previously this information was displayed only in a summarized view, giving teams greater visibility into the full cost of each session.

Session Details for Deleted Accounts

Session details are now visible even after a parker account has been deleted, allowing teams to access historical parking activity without running into empty pages.

Enhanced Parker and Session Search in Portal

Teams can now search for parkers and sessions by Card Tail, making it easier to quickly locate transactions and support user inquiries.

Expanded Continued Usage Threshold Support in Rate Builder

The Continued Usage Threshold setting can now be applied to rates with multiple rate chains, giving teams more flexibility in configuring pricing rules without being limited to single chain setups.

Back Office

Portal Performance Improvements

Updates to how user authentication is handled across Portal result in faster load times, smoother data submission, and fewer intermittent delays.

Vehicle List Bulk Upload Improvements

The bulk upload experience for vehicle lists now processes large data sets in batches without leaving the page, resolving an issue where large file uploads could fail or time out and eliminating the need to upload files multiple times.

Portal Metrics Accuracy Fix

An issue causing Portal metrics to reset before midnight for some clients has been resolved. Metrics now correctly reflect a full 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM window, giving operators a more reliable view of their daily activity.
