Passport acquires NuPark to enable better mobility management through integrated platform
A word from our CEO, Bob Youakim:
I’m thrilled to announce that NuPark is joining the Passport team to strengthen and extend our position as a market leader and trusted partner to our clients. NuPark has a strong team, deep industry expertise, and robust technology that will extend and accelerate our shared mission to empower our clients to more effectively manage their parking and curbside operations. This combination will help us build towards our vision for how cities, universities, and parking operators can leverage technology to create healthier mobility ecosystems and better experiences for parking customers.
Our clients operate in a highly dynamic environment, so we believe in building tools that simplify complex processes. Through our city-focused parking platform and digital permitting products, we have built elegant solutions to manage the issuance of parking rights. This has established us as North America’s leader in granting mobility and parking rights. The addition of NuPark’s team and technology will bolster our longstanding commitment to providing complementary parking enforcement tools. Together, these components provide an end-to-end platform that will empower our clients to more actively and efficiently manage their parking operations.
Without cutting-edge enforcement technology and access to non-compliance data, cities and parking operators can’t hope to maintain control over their parking and curbside spaces or create a sustainable platform for new mobility services. The addition of Kevin Uhlenhaker, Nupark’s CEO, and the NuPark team will accelerate our development of the mobility industry’s most flexible and powerful enforcement suite and will allow Passport to provide our clients with more valuable insights and a more robust platform for managing mobility rights.
We recently announced an investment of $5M in the development of a mobility platform to help cities meet the challenges of the increasingly dynamic urban mobility ecosystem. The combination of Passport and NuPark lays a solid foundation for the development of that platform. By creating a platform that combines industry-leading capabilities in granting curbside rights, managing off-street parking inventory, and assessing vehicle compliance, we will equip our clients with better insights and technology necessary to effectively coordinate traditional public and private transportation with emergent shared modes like e-scooters and rideshare services.
The Passport and NuPark teams are bound by a common thread: we are maniacally focused on our clients’ success. Together we serve over 550 clients around the world, and we believe that we can serve each of them better together. We look forward to proving that in the coming weeks, months, and years.
